As to writing this review, I prefer Android phones and my wife prefers iPhone. Naturally this becomes an issue when we both need to charge. That means we have to keep Micro-USB cables and Lightning Cables in our cars and around the house. A few weeks ago one of the few Lighting Cables my wife has is starting to act up. So naturally I went out and got her a Anker PowerLine+ Lightning 6ft Gray Durable Fast Double Braided Nylon Cable.

Anker PowerLine+ Lightning 6ft Gray Durable Fast Double Braided Nylon Cable – Features

The Anker PowerLine+ Lightning cable is using the latest  mobile charging technologies available. Using only premium materials, it will charge your devices faster than the standard cable and do it safely.

The PowerLine+ Lightning cable is a premium heavy-duty charging cable that is designed durability in mind. Anker boast that it “maybe the last cable you’ll ever need.” Their tests have proven that it will last at least 5 times longer that other cables with a bend tolerance that 10 times better than the rest. In addition to the high levels of bend strength it uses aramid fiber core double nylon-braiding and precision laser welding that helps it to withstand any yanking, twisting, stretching, or dropping that you can through at it.

Along with the PowerLine+ Lightning cable you get a pouch that allows you shorten or lengthen the cable for your needs. Simply roll up the cable and attach it tot he pouch. Pull out end und you have the length you need. If you have to much line, then roll up the extra length.

Another benefit of the PowerLine+ Lightning cable is that it uses thick gauged wire that will reduce resistance and ensures maximum charging speeds. Ever wonder why your cheap wires charge so slow. Its because budget cable manufacturers use a wire gauge that cuts the price down, but also adds a lot of resistance to the line. With the Anker PowerLine+ Lightning cable, you will get a 40% faster charge than other wires on the market.

The cable came wrapped in its grey pouch with a piece of logoed rice paper with a thank you card and packaged in a simple box. Simple packaging and easy to get right to the good stuff.

I like the look and feel, but it shows stains easier now. Its almost impossible to remove those stains without getting the cable wet. I don’t know if wetting the cable will damage them, but I prefer not to find out.

Anker PowerLine+ Lightning 6ft Gray Durable Fast Double Braided Nylon Cable – My Final Thoughts

As to the quality, its made to last for years and will outlast as many bends and twists I can throw at it. My other Anker cables are still going strong and most of the cables I have start to have issues about 6 months into use. But not my Anker cables. They are still as good as new and my new one should be the same!

When it comes to charging, it charges fast. As long you have it hooked to a premium charger (doesn’t have to be fast charger) they will charge faster than those cheap charger/cables options out there.

If you need a new Lightning cable and want a nice carrying pouch or want to have an extra one in your gear, then this is the product for you. You can pick one of these up from Amazon. At the time of this writing, you can pick up this product for $16.99.
