On my last trip out to North West Texas we came across an abandoned ambulance surrounded by wind turbines hidden in the high grass of a hay field. I have no clue of its age or how long or how it got to where it now rests. But its an old car and most of its equipment was removed a long time ago.
How We Found the Abandoned Ambulance Surrounded by Wind Turbines
We stumbled across the abandoned ambulance by accident. As we were driving into the small North West Texas town we saw a metal object sticking out over the hay field. At first we thought it was a junk pile and ignored it. But since it was near an old abandoned farm house and we decided to get a closer look. When I got closer, it looked like an old 1940s station wagon. But when I got up on it that’s when I noticed it was an old ambulance! Sadly there isn’t much left of it. I doubt anyone would want to restore it or turn it into an old rat rod.
When I framed up the shot I noticed that many of the shots had the new Wind Turbines in the picture.
About the Images
We stumbled across the abandoned ambulance surrounded by wind turbines in the late afternoon and was shot by hand with my Sony a6000and the Sony 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 OSS Power Zoom Lens. We plan to go back and shoot the area again in the fall or next spring.
